About Dilshad Indian Restaurant

I’m excited to introduce Dilshad Indian Restaurant, a welcoming Indian restaurant tucked into the heart of Wolverhampton at 40-43 Berry St, Wolverhampton WV1 1HA, United Kingdom, where classic flavors meet an easygoing neighborhood vibe. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels relaxed and familiar, making it just as suitable for a quick weekday bite as it is for a longer catch-up over dinner. The menu leans confidently into Indian cooking, balancing comforting favorites with dishes that feel thoughtfully prepared, and the kitchen keeps things flexible with delivery, takeaway, and dine-in options that fit real life. If you enjoy variety, you’ll appreciate how the offerings stretch beyond the basics, with halal food at the core, plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, and small plates that make sharing effortless. Drinks are handled with the same care, so you can sip beer, wine, spirits, or cocktails, or keep it simple with coffee and free water refills while you eat. Late-night food is available too, which is handy when plans run long and you want something satisfying without the fuss. What stands out most is how the space adapts to different moods; you can settle into a casual table, organize something a bit more special in the private dining room, or pop in for a takeaway that still feels made to order. As someone introducing the place, I’d say Dilshad Indian Restaurant works because it doesn’t try too hard-it focuses on good food, friendly service, and options that make guests feel looked after, whether they’re dining solo, meeting friends, or ordering in after a long day. Location-wise, the Berry Street address puts it within easy reach of the city center, which makes spontaneous visits simple and repeat orders tempting, especially when you want reliable flavors without overthinking dinner plans, and the consistency keeps locals coming back for more.

Best mix grill I’ve ever had. Great service. I think our server was named Syed? He was brilliant, will definitely be having another mix grill from here very soon

I was really impressed by the presentation of the food and the service was okay. I had chicken tikka and mixed non veg biryani, in which the tikka was so tasty and biryani wasn’t biryani at all it was veg pulao with mixed meat in it. Sorry to say I was a bit disappointed with that but the atmosphere was nice.

After 6 Uber drivers getting lost and kept going to Litchfield Street I picked the order up myself. Credit to the restaurant they cooked the main meals again for us after explaining the problem. The food was really nice, thank you for a lovely meal

We came here yesterday before a gig. It was pretty quiet so we were served very quickly. All the dishes we had were stunning, couldn't fault. All allergens are labelled which is a great touch. Restaurant itself is a little dated but I quite like that personally. Thanks so much!

Being a Southerner and now retired the last time I ate at the Dilshad must be at least 20 years ago. For me it was a memorable experience and my introduction to Chicken Pathia which subsequently became my dish of choice. The Dilshad and its chicken pathia set the bar by which I have measured all other restuarants since. Its sweet and sour taste, not overly hot and full flavour is a delight and is still as good as I remembered. I ate early on a Sunday evening along with maybe a dozen other diners in a relaxed atmosphere. Startered with a couple of poppadoms and chutneys followed by the chicken pathia bombay potatoes, a peshwari nan and a pint of cobra to quench my thirst. It was all delicious and very reasonably priced. Just wish I lived closer.
